ASPECTOS GENERALES 1.8 Uso de un PC Cuando se utiliza un PC como terminal secundario, se requiere un FD-ROM. Este terminal secundario solo puede efectuar funciones de comunicacion; la configuracion y otras funciones deben ser ejecutadas desde el terminal principal. Encender el PC. 2. Insertar el FD-ROM, conteniendo el software FELCOM 15, en la disquetera. 3. Crear una carpeta donde guardar los archivos de la aplicacion. 4. Copiar el contenido del FD-ROM en la carpeta creada. Se abre una ventana de confirmacion. Nota: Los procedimientos operativos descritos en este manual corresponden a la unidad terminal. La operacion con el PC es similar aunque, los nombres de las teclas pueden ser distintos y algunas funciones, las descritas a continuacion, no son posibles. Inmarsat asigna a cada estacion movil un numero (IMN), necesario para operar dentro del sistema; este numero es grabado en el equipo durante el proceso de instalacion del mismo. 2.1 Parametros del Sistema 2.1.1 Confirmacion de terminal principal El sistema se configura via terminal principal. OFF: No hay navegador conectado EXT: Conexion a un navegador externo. El FELCOM 15 selecciona automaticamente la informacion de posicion en el orden: GPS, Loran C, DECCA. INT: Uso del GPS interno (opcional) incorporado en el equipo. Nota: Si no hay navegador (Nav Port OFF) es necesario entrar manualmente la posicion, en el menu Position. Ver 2.8. 2-3 2.
